Emma's van has come along really well but was still far from liveable. Emma being Emma, however, wanted to put the van through its paces and see how it would handle 2 weeks offgrid, and what better time and place than Scotland in winter?

Whilst stripping down the engine bay I also started pulling apart the cab interior in prep for removing the loom. With the flooring a seats out I began sorting & labelling all of the wiring into what needed to stay and what to tear out.

The strip down continues as I pilfer every inch of the donor Sprinter.
I manage to get the Engine out which made things easier from there onwards.
The essential wiring loom out with ECU, gear lever, pedal box and much more that I'd even intended as most parts on Amber will be much more worn down than these.

Now that I’d removed all the leaf springs and suspension components from the donor van, I now had to get them tatted up and ready for the big swap over.
