Chris Wolfgang, Editor at Draft.dev, is looking for writers:
I'm the new editor at Draft.dev.
I'm looking for software engineer writers, and we're willing to pay for experience. Minimum is $200, average is $300, and $500 is for experienced, proven writers and probably senior engineers. This is for 1500 words, code samples to support the topic, and screenshots of tool interfaces. Roughly 2 weeks to write after acceptance of a pitch (highly outlined, highly detailed, so writers have all the direction they need).
We publish tutorials, more high-level guides, and persuasive think pieces on concepts, philosophies, comparisons, and technique. Writers can apply here (https://airtable.com/shrIUVaiJnXYd9xNh), and once accepted, they're added to a weekly email list of article opportunities.
To clarify, we provide the pitch (we call it a brief) to the writer—our clients have specific requests, so we tailor pieces to work for what our clients need, and then find a writer for it. Much less leg work for the writers than developing their own pitch.
