SWAP.IO animation workflow
Added 2022-09-28 19:00:05 +0000 UTCHere is the new workflow I'm trying to use to get the most optimal results as fast as possible.
Here's how it goes:
1. Sketching.
Just simple sketching, checking if everything works, making sure the timing is working, and the arcs round.
2. Line-art
Just making the line art :p
3. Colors + background
I check if all the colors are working before shading everything. Here I also add the small fx like the speak icon animation.
4 Shadings and inbetweens
I'll add the shadows and the highlights. Also, I've added a small gradient color that clips to the characters, so I don't have to add it for each frame. I'm lazy XD
Then after exporting the individual frames, I just make simple in-between frames by just photoshopping the complete frame and deforming a little bit. Making the frame count double :p
