To their fellow combatants theyre expended units.
Expended meaning the person has been used and is no longer of use.
The Mistress sees it as this also. But she also sees one less person for her to pay.
While they are handy for her to capture items of value ie Neon Dark
She likes to capture said items of value while having as much of them as possible depart the company by violent means.
