We gotta talk about the PlayStation 5 price increase

The PS5 is getting a price increase. Sony is using the uncertainty in inflation and fluctuating exchange rates to raise the price of its console. It, of course, doesn't hurt that it has GTA 6 coming up soon and a higher price will certainly benefit Sony during that game's launch.

Gaming feels different now

Microsoft is going to begin selling $80 games this holiday, and it announced price increases for its consoles and accessories. And that reveals (or maybe reminds us) that these companies no longer care about growing console gaming. So now it's just about extracting everything from us.
