This was a wild album, y'all! Unbelievable amounts of musical color...great riffs...smart chord changes...I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. It was like hearing a King Crimson Jazz Fusion album.

I think this is my personal favorite of all the movements from Holst's The Planets. It's buoyant and lively bits are derived from the noble folk hymn theme at the heart of the movement. I enjoyed this album much more than I was anticipating...especially after reading about all of the 'drama' happening behind the scenes with financial and artistic differences in the band as well as a roster change...with Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman departing the band before the album was completed.

For our first EPL of the new year, we're listening to Haken's 2nd album. Visions is another concept album, and I thoroughly enjoyed my listen. This is now my fourth EPL for this band, and I'm realizing that they really don't have a weak album...I really like all their output. Enjoy!
