I'm so glad Peter Jackson scrubbed the ending. In the book, the last chapter was titled "The Scouring of the Shire." I got to the end and said NOPE. Not reading any further. I'm not ashamed to remain in denial. After 1,000+ pages, I felt I had been through enough.

This movie won 11 academy awards at the Oscars, not 13. There are 2 other films that have also won 11 Titanic and Ben Hurr 1959 which was nominated for 14. all 3 won the best picture and Ben Hur won best lead actor for Charlton Heston.

If it gives you hope, Gimli is given a special honor by Legolas way later in the story and he goes the The Grey Haven as well~ AND Sam as well once his wife passes away :) because Sam was technically a Ring Bearer when he took it from Frodo after he was stabbed by the giant spider Shelob. So Sam has been affected by the ring as well 😌 I hope this brings you some happiness ☀️

Great Reaction! As for the very end, Frodo couldn’t go back to normal life, between all the physical pain like the Witch Kings stab wound, and the mental pain as he completely in the end fell to the power of the ring and was completely overtaken just broke something within him, he will still always feel a longing for the ring same as Bilbo when he asks to see it one last time. Tolkien didn’t like using the term Allegory but there is no doubt that this story is very heavily influenced by his time in the trenches of World War 1, more than anything I think the ending represents this. All 4 of the hobbits come back home and can’t just fully fall back into their old lives, they are profoundly changed by the war and the other Hobbits that never left the shire just don’t understand, much like I’m sure many soldiers felt coming back home during the War. Frodo gets this most of all, I think he is made to represent those soldiers who although survived the war, they will never find peace on earth again, the severe PTSD mixed with sever injuries like those who came back with missing legs, blinded by gas attacks, burned etc. the Grey Havens where they sail to is basically heaven, he will no longer feel the pain and torture and can finally be at peace. Again incredible reaction I like your style, you can crack jokes and have fun, but you also pay attention and really focus on the story and that is a great mix!

God damn this was a great reaction! I do have a request tho, would it be possible to have a time stamp to go along with the blurred picture? It would make it a bit easier to sync up. Had a power outage in the middle of the reaction and found it hard to find my place again haha.
