Comments

sorry about all the comments, but I only just caught back up to the current ep, and I haven't been able to comment till now. For Matt, when pronouncing French words or names like D'abo, just pretend that apostrophe isn't there. There's no syllabic break. Pretend it says "Dabo".

I'm late to this conversation, but I still wanted to add my two cents. That is definitely not Q in Tapestries, and they allude to it in the dialogue in the episode. This is the only episode with Q in it that doesn't have a Q title in any of the trek series TNG, DS9 or Voyager. This is a ghosts of christmas past scenario, where it's left ambiguous if something spiritual intervened or if it was all a dream. Either way, the subject learns their lesson. PICARD: I still don't know what to make of it. Was it a dream? Was it one of Q's elaborate tricks? RIKER: A lot of people near death have talked about strange experiences, but I've never heard one so detailed. PICARD: And, you know, there's still a part of me that cannot accept that Q would give me a second chance, or that he would demonstrate so much compassion. And if it was Q, I owe him a debt of gratitude. Also, Andy is wrong about the laugh, and Matt is right. That's a kid in shock at seeing a blade sticking out of him. it's not a closed time loop where Q has influenced events at some point, so he always has, or anything like that with time loops. He didn't laugh because he was getting his life back. Both times it's shown, it's the same laugh at the same moment in time. The second time is just to show us time has reset.
