Before Watching: I am always welcoming “unconnected” episodes, especially in a plot driven series like Dragon Ball. It creates a believable dynamic and gives me the idea that they are really just like normal people. I wouldn’t want the entire series to be all action with no break in between and I think this filler tournament is a great example of what I mean!

2024-02-02 00:58:13 +0000 UTCI'm glad that you covered this episode :) I know that the whole thing about Vegeta is meant as a joke is a bit of a shame because in Episode 55 he said something like "I'm no longer looking to surpass you now I'm just curious as to what my limits are". Although honestly I would say if I really had to put this episode into an arc, it does technically resolve Buu's "Death" was a result in the Baby Saga but the fallout is resolved here.
