So For the Druid what if they could cast their spells by creating magical plants which could allow for mechanics like skipping components or spell storing. Or it could be something like unlimited casts of a particular plant spell or two.

I agree that a resistance is boring use of powerbudget - I think I would prefer that subclasses get players big unique abilities that don’t fit within the budget of a single spell or other talent - especially if the ability could easily be improved upon - so instead of a few low budget upgrades that we could pull from ancestries I would rather get things that enable a new play style ( I think echo fighter is a great example of this)
