Roleplaying Ellis

Honorable Ellis is a knight of the Harmonious Concord: a proud and passionate sect of knights and paladins who have pledged their lives to defending the Melorealm and the beauty they see in all things. She may as well be their zealous mascot.

She hails from a family of former nobles who abdicated their titles and fiefs on the material plane in pursuit of simpler lives, far from the politics and pettiness that surrounded their kingdom. She vaguely remembers aristocrats, feasts, and galas, but mostly remembers her parents’ unhappiness at the time: their stress and their sleeplessness and how it worried her too. The only times she saw them happy were when they were together and, privately, her father would play his lute to her mother’s beautiful singing voice. Ellis would watch and listen and smile.

Whatever finally triggered the family’s interplanar immigration, Ellis saw the way the Melorealm changed them for the better, and when she came of age, devoted her life to protecting the Melorealm from villainous people and the forces of discord for the rest of her days.

• The Flask of the Traveller, which aids in long adventures overland.
• Sonorous Steel, a greatsword that creates a deeper harmony with each successive hit.
• The Spirited Mace, a magical mace that can be animated to attack enemies from afar.
• Valkyrie's Helm, which gives a flying speed as long as one is in battle.
• The War Maiden's Horn, which lets Ellis summon a spectral mount.
