The State of It All
Added 2021-11-17 19:52:57 +0000 UTCGreetings! This is an update on the future of my Patreon/Twitter.
I have decided to focus my Patreon on a handful of fandoms I deeply enjoy and want to make repeat content for such as Doom, Destiny, Alien, Among us and Lovecraft.
This past month while I have been taking a break from my NSFW twitter, I have been trying to evaluate the content I post and where I post it. I haven't really sat down and reflected on the state of my Patreon and Twitter, but recently with the level audience I have gained I felt it was needed.
I found myself thinking 'what exactly is my audience receiving when they go to my twitter or my Patreon?'. When folks go to my twitter there is a smattering of different fandoms with OCs mixed in, and for the most part I think that is okay (sometimes I feel like I need a dedicated twitter for OCs but idk yet).
When folks go to my Patreon its the same thing. However, I thought to myself, when I subscribe to someone or become a patron, what do I want out of it? I pick those particular creators because they have a focus, they post mainly monsters or star wars, etc. and I know exactly what I am getting when I pay 5-10$ a month.
Then I thought about my own content and how as a patron there is no way to know what I will be posting next. Which got me thinking that mixed fandoms is nice for twitter/tumblr etc. because folks can come and go freely, there is no commitment. But when it comes to content I pay for, I want to have some idea of what is coming next.
So starting in December I will only be posting a handful of specific fandoms to my Patreon. I understand if for some of you those fandoms do not hold enough interest for you to stay and I won't be hurt if you decide to leave. I appreciate everyone who has been my patron, whether new or old, I just want to provide quality content for you!
Thank you for being a patron! <3
