I always think it’s neat whenever Gael tries something in languages other than English or Gaelic, so I was excited about hearing the Korean parts of this audio. But from what I can tell (and I’ll confess that I only listened to the first 6-7 minutes of the audio before fast-forwarding through the rest), it seems like the audio is around 90%-ish ASMR/ear attention and 10% Korean. I’m sure ASMR purists and tinglephiles will love this audio, which is great. But as someone who doesn’t experience much of anything in the way of ASMR, it didn’t really do a whole lot for me. I’d say the reason I enjoy some of Gael’s other ASMR-heavy audios is because they usually have another element (e.g., sexy whispers or a small plot/scenario that you can expand on with your own imagination) that people can focus on, regardless of whether or not they can actually experience ASMR. I think if there had been more Korean dialogue or maybe some words in English to give the audio a bit more context, maybe it would’ve been more accessible to a wider audience. (Although with that said, I have no idea if the audio was deliberately made this way as an inside joke or nod to someone/something on YouTube. Does Jungkook or his fans make ASMR audios like this? If so, then as you were, carry on tonguefucking our ears, etc. 🤔 #outoftheloop)
