Tail calculations
Added 2018-02-26 08:16:17 +0000 UTCI decided to make myself a genet tail for the upcoming Furrnion2018. I've been working on it for a week and thought you'd like to see the whole building process.
First came the calculations, for I wanted everything to look just right. I had to make a program to calculate the exact curvature polynomials though Cramer - piece of cake, that only took me 1.5 hours.
Then, I calculated what the rings of the tail should look like when unwrapped, since they aren't all cylindrical. A bit of geometry did the trick and I got the patterns all ready to go.
