Clip Studio Study...

...I got sick today, but I’m feeling all better now. There’s a lot of smoke in the air what with fires around California so I think that had a lot to do with it.

Decided to continue practicing with clip Studio. doong line art is great but man, coloring with this thing is a pain. Looks good, but the mechanics are completely different from photoshop. I’m sure there’s a setting somewhere that I can use to adjust everything, but I haven’t found it yet.

Love the way this is coming along, but time to get back to Black Label!

A couple things. Since I'm so used to Photoshop the location of various tools, as well as names, icons and what not are different. Also, Clip Studio seems to be designed for more of a traditional painting style rather than cell painting, which is what I do. That's not to say you can't do that in Clip Studio. You can, but that's not what it's set up for. It's just a matter of experimenting more and figuring out which brushes and tools work best, but I already spent years figuring all that out in Photoshop, so it's pretty frustrating. Fortunately, I can flatten the line art, turn it into a .tiff file, transfer it into Photoshop and do the coloring there. So for now, problem solved. :)

Found an easy fix for coloring...color in Photoshop! Didn't think that would be possible, but I found a way. :)

Glad you're feeling better! Loving your take on Vampirella :)

I hope you feel better - I hate getting sick. (Curse these feeble mortal bodies... bring on the super android bodies already, science!) Vampirella looks gorgeous! Hopefully changing colors will get easier with a bit of practice.

What was the issue you had with colouring?
