It makes sense that Light would be “bored”. He mentions in episode one that he is the #1 student in Japan and is recognized as Japan’s best and brightest. He’s a genius that is also attractive, charismatic, etc. so for him everything is essentially “boring” because nothing is a challenge. He is exceptional in every area of life. Until this point in his life he has nothing to oppose him or challenge him. The Deathnote provided something new and unknown.

The “because I’m bored part” is basically because he’s a genius and let’s face it a psychopath basically that thinks he’s better than everyone else in the world and he’s above everyone so normal life bores him, other people bore him. He thinks he’s so good and special that’s why on episode 1 he thought he was chosen. But he’s just a twat really. That now has something to give his life purpose

So this specific Shinigami's name is "Ryuk", and Shinigami just means God of Death. Secondly the way deaths can be written on Death Note go like this: "name", "cause of death", "details of death" The details of death come to play later in this anime, so you will understand what can be done with it then.
