Attibute Panel: Evolution from an Artic Wolf

9 - A long night

As the wolf cubs filled up, Luke gave the others a chance to eat and helped those who could not eat any meat due to their age.

The little lone wolf was very hungry, and when he got to the reindeer's big body, he began to chew on it enthusiastically.

It was obviously a puppy like its wolf sister, but it's eating speed was not slow at all.

But this didn't matter to Luke, he walked over to the stones where he usually slept and lay on his stomach. Some of the wounds on his body were still healing and the Esper energy attribute played an important role in his recovery. Therefore, she thought that those were the effects of that attribute.

Right now the food in the cave is plentiful, so even if his parents along with the other adult wolves return, everyone can have a big meal.

Only after the big fight with the lynx did Luke understand what it meant to fight with his life on the line. That excitement was very different, he felt extremely alive and excited that he could win. But a part of him warned him that he must be very careful, this time he was lucky to react to an enemy attack, but will it be the same on other occasions?

This cannot happen to him again.

During the desperate fight with the lynx, but for the benefit he received from the evolutionary panel, he would not have been able to kill the enemy and defend his food. His basic attributes had now balanced out, in the early days his basic attributes increased without him personally adding points, so he thought it was because he was growing and those were separate benefits to the evolutionary panel.

But even if his wounds were about to fully recover, Luke was a bit exhausted.

After his sister finished eating, she returned to Luke's side.

His sister's small body curled up to be closer to him, and she began to fall asleep peacefully as her stomach filled.

"Affection between wolves is very special and distinct..."

...

The days in the Arctic are short.

And before long it was night again.

After waking up, Luke stretched his waist and discovered that his parents had not yet returned to the cave.

As for the arctic reindeer carcass, after the little wolves had finished eating, he had made sure to move the rest of the reindeer deep into the cave.

Since the last time his parents and the rest of the arctic wolves acted aggressively, he understood that if he left the food near the cave entrance the other predators might notice the smell of blood.

Luke was learning more and more many essential things that he had to take into account, and as an intelligent wolf he learned from his mistakes and adapted quite quickly to his life being a wolf.

When he woke up again, Luke saw the little lone wolf who was now playing with some pups so seeing this, he smiled knowing that he was adapting quite well with the rest of the pack.
At this point, Luke got up and walked towards the cave entrance.

As he neared the outside of the cave, Luke could only sink into his thoughts. This life was scary, if he can now be brave enough to go out hunting it is because of his evolutionary panel. He knows he could die at any moment, either by a predator bigger and stronger than him or by a human hunter.

Although many of the things he had learned and gained were nothing related to any other animal, Luke knew that there would come a point when his evolution would stop. Otherwise, how strong would he become if there were no limits?

As soon as he reached the cave entrance, he felt a gust of cold wind blowing over his face. He had discovered that his eyes were red, he didn't know if this was due to after integrating his evolutionary points for the first time or he was born with those peculiar eyes.

Booo!

Luke, who had been living as a wolf and feeling his thick fur, still felt a shiver as he felt the cold hit his body, proving the low temperature the surroundings were at right now.

Feeling the abnormality of the surroundings, he looked away at this moment.

The cold wind howled in his ears and large curtains of snow were rising from the ground, the weather was getting fiercer and fiercer just from seeing how the snow was even starting to prevent him from seeing further in the distance.

"Could it be that a snowstorm is coming?"

This was one of the things Luke had feared most since he woke up in this place.

His parents and the rest of the pack had not yet returned, which may also be related to the approaching storm of nine.

After all, the wolf pack had a total of eight adult Arctic wolves, and they all went out together again. If you are far from the cave and they can't get back in time, the best idea for them would be to seek shelter in their surroundings.

In the Arctic, as long as you do not take the initiative to provoke the supreme lords such as polar bears and grizzly bears, there are almost no hunters who can pose a threat to the wolf packs.

Even the lynx Luke fought, when they encountered a united pack, let alone an adult Arctic wolf, none would dare to confront them.

The only thing a lynx could do is run desperately with its tail between its legs, do lynx have tails?

"What am I thinking? Well, I'm still young and still learning the various things about this place, but my parents should have figured out the weather abnormality, so they should be hiding somewhere by now."

Luke didn't worry much about his parents' absence, at least a pack of eight adult wolves can't be safe, he couldn't make a difference.

Adult wolves are experienced hunters, and packs are led by strong, intelligent pairs, so this sort of thing would have happened to them on numerous occasions.

As the minutes ticked by, Luke saw the snow storm brewing outside getting worse, but his worries weren't many.

For he had been out hunting and his profits were by no means small, he had dozens of pounds of meat so if he saw things get worse, he could shelter the food and last for days without going out.

At this point, Luke surveyed the surroundings of the cave. Only after confirming that there was no danger, he did not stay out for long and returned.

The film outside is very cold and his Esper energy was depleting, as well as his stamina.

After returning, she discovered that her wolf sister in the cave was still sleeping soundly. The cave in the first half was not that wide, but when he is at the bottom it becomes very spacious and warm.

As Luke walked further into the back, he discovered that the lone wolf and the gray wolf had finished playing and were now sleeping soundly in a corner of the cave.

The little lone wolf rested his head on the little gray-haired wolf, making them both comfortable to sleep.

"So you weren't so lonely..." Seeing this scene, Luke couldn't help but silently scoff.

Just now, only the wolf girl who was bigger than the rest was awake and was in charge of guarding the cave.

It could be seen that, as the eldest of several pups, the wolf girl had worked hard.

Luke then let out a low howl, signaling her to be alert.

"Ow!"

The wolf girl also briefly communicated with Luke through small howls and, after telling him that they should be alert, walked to the other end of the cave and lay down.

Luke didn't know how to describe wolf communication, he simply howled and conveyed his feelings. Caution, affection, fear, intimidation, anger and hunger were just a few of the less complex things wolves can convey.

The wolf girl looked at Luke who still had blood on his beautiful white fur and then turned her gaze back to the cave entrance. She no longer considered Luke as a little puppy to take care of.

Instead, she began to regard Luke as a leader of sorts. After all, Luke had already gone out hunting and brought back food to feed them.

The laws of nature are often simple and unpretentious.

Since Luke goes out hunting and brings food, then he is someone superior in his simple understanding.

In the wolf girl mind, the wolf tribe has always respected the strong.

Today's Luke has become someone special well deserved among several wolf cubs.

...

Only a few hours later, Luke woke up again. As he had fallen asleep during the afternoon and part of the night, he was not sleepy and replaced the wolf girl to let her rest.

As time went on, he discovered that the wind and snow outside the cave became stronger and more aggressive.

Many animals living in the Arctic began desperately looking for places to hide from this sudden snowstorm.

One Arctic owl did not know if it was because of the heavy snowfall or if he was lost, so he flew to the entrance of the wolf cave in desperation.

The cave in his eyes was his only chance of survival as he would avoid the snow.

But Luke, who was alert at all times, growled and jumped at great speed.

His great speed was unmatched, and after moving almost instantly he began to visualize the figure that had violated his cave.

Without seeing exactly what it was, his paw brought down the Arctic Owl.

The Arctic Owl is very beautiful, with gray spots and mostly white fur, its yellow eyes stood out.

This beautiful owl was a rather peculiar animal in the Arctic.

This type of snowy owl is quite well known in North America, Asia and Europe.

Luke was so interested in this type of bird that even as a child he thought it would bring him a letter, something he longed for until he was eleven years old.

But now Luke did not expect a letter, so he did not consider letting the owl that had entered his domain live.

He simply opened his drill bit, shook the owl's fur and with his exerted force killed it within seconds.

It is now a wolf.

His feelings when killing had gradually disappeared, his animal protective spirit had completely disappeared as he was now part of nature.

"[1.5 Poins evolution points gained for eating owl.]"

"[¡1.3 Poins evolution points gained for eating owl.]"

A beautiful arctic owl only provided Luke with less than three evolutionary points.

It can also be considered an unexpected joy of powerful night guarding.

After hours of guard duty, Luke yawned and looked up at the sky that seemed to be dawning.

The wolf girl, her sister, the little lone and gray wolf woke up.

They started fighting again.

Of course, after Luke taught him, the little lone wolf no longer dares to bully the gray wolf.

Only his sister and the gray wolf can fight.

Poor little gray wolf, everyone wanted to fight him and most of them were stronger statistically speaking.

After defeating the gray wolf, Luke's sister started playing with the wolf girl.

From time to time, she would come to Luke's side to play for a while with this wolf brother who was obviously much bigger than her.

But Luke just lay lazily on the stone, without moving his eyelids.

Completely ignoring his sister's playful behavior.

After all, as a human being, I really can't keep up with this kind of naive banter between wolf pups.

After a while, Luke felt a little hungry.

He started giving the wolf cubs some signals to come over and eat.

Luke still didn't decide to eat from the Arctic reindeer, even though Arctic reindeer meat was the best he had ever tasted, he had to be guided by the evolutionary path.

Since eating the lynx's meat, it would provide him with evolutionary points.
