Let the Right One In (2008) MOVIE REACTION! FIRST TIME WATCHING!!

Comments

Great reaction. This movie is fantastic. And on the subject of vampire children, you've GOT to do Interview with the Vampire soon. And also The Lost Boys, Fright Night, and Bram Stoker's Dracula.

So glad I’m not the only one who is oddly fond of Queen of the Damned

Oh wow, you know a lot of the lesser known movies that I didn't mention because I didn't think anyone would know them. Awesome. Fright Night was always a favorite of mine. In that case I'm going to add LIFEFORCE. The one about alien life energy draining creatures. Unconventional and imaginative.

Throwing some more vampire films in there with yours :) My faves include: SALEM'S LOT (1979, Tobe Hooper) an excellent vampire story and based on Stephen King's book was the first major project that placed a vampire in the middle of a modern small town (rather than some old gothic historical setting). FRIGHT NIGHT (1985) is a great semi-parody/light-hearted spin on 'Salem's Lot and also very worth watching. One of my favourite vampire films is also NEAR DARK (1987) directed by Kathryn Bigelow. Effortlessly cool and unconventional. Lastly, CRONOS (1993) by Guillermo Del Toro really deserves to be better known. Beautiful and poetic filmmaking with a really unusual spin on the vampire concept.

I've always loved this film. My favorites are 30 DAYS OF NIGHT, BRAM STOKERS DRACULA, and INTERVIEW WITH A VAMPIRE which I see a lot of other people saying the same. I've also always had a embarrassing love for the film QUEEN OF THE DAMNED. And as much as I love werewolves...I think I'd have to choose vampire because of how regal they can be while still being beastly.
