Exclusive for May: Special Ops Frog

Big Thank you to all who voted on this special character! Had lots of questions about making accessories and removable pieces...but for printability and to avoid little tiny parts that would be fragile, I opted for a true Print-in-Place model.

I beefed up the joints, changed the angle and shape of the head, changed the eyes and added several details including gloves, a pack, knife, watch, and binoculars.

Printed successfully at 50% and I printed 3 colors with a layer change just after the feet, and on the binoculars. So for you folks with single extruders, there is a great option to pause the print and add additional colors :)

I have also added the multicolor painted files (3mf) for Prusa and Bambu.

Which version? I did the 3 colour 3mf file

I printed it three times on two printers and the back leg failed each time and its not adhesion, not sure what the issue is I did not investigate it

Thank you for your reply. I haven't seen this happen before that's why I asked. It's still amazing just the leg is the same on all 4 that were on the plate. Thanks for the hard work you put into all of these

I found on the bambu that if adhesion isn't great and there is any little issue, like a part just pops free slightly...it can have repercussions on other parts of the print. I think because it moves so fast, it affects other areas. I printed 10 mini gnomes and watched as it lost a total of three over about 10 hours. additionally, it did a layer shift because it hit one of the parts so hard it knocked the belt. So I think it could be something like that? If you scrub the layers, you will see the model is not the issue.

you already know imma make it big🤠

Has anyone else had an issue with the back leg not printing right. I loaded it up on the x1c did 4 of them on the one plate, one was purge into infill. But 1 of the back legs are stuck together on all 4

The files are in this post right below the pictures

Where do i find the stl file?

Neměl by to být problém se souborem. Viděli jste nějaké problémy, když jste to krájeli a drhli přes vrstvy?

Printed several of these at an event this weekend. White pla and had people paint them 😄

PROTONORD

Is there any way to get a remix of the original frog with the new pupil design?

Jason
