Pre-Hegemony star-eaters. In the primordial age when the galaxies were still cooling; the Tzitzi were of the first Absolute Apex predators that filled the power vacuum after the SCHISM and the First Weapon’s subsequent retreat from reality. They are not quite Infernal Blood and did not spring from the primordial pool of the Godheads.
In the early times post-SCHISM they marauded the young galaxies like schools of piranhas eating freshly forged worlds and specializing in sucking the juice of stars while driving them mad. The Flayed God sun-farmer was their natural enemy and despised them for interfering in his star farming. In the later era of the expanding pantheons they were hunted as great trophies by Infernals and Godheads in great wild hunts across space. The Xiblaban nobles synthesized Tzitzi product after the dissection of Itzpapalotl’s lost limb (ripped off by a Jaguar), and this technological breakthrough would eventually lead to the the BONEMEN prototype models made under joint work with the MICTLAN engineering facility.
Recently Hegemony probes have spotted Tzitzi hanging off the scales of APEP like Remora on a whale.
