Pokemon types for She-Ra characters
Added 2020-05-28 09:01:49 +0000 UTCJust finished s4 so heeeey here we go. No real spoilers. BTW this show RULES so go watch it if you have Netflix.
Adora/She-Ra: Fairy/Fighting. Sword/weapon type moves tend to always be fighting, but She-Ra is anything if not a "fable"-type character, so this makes sense for her.
Glimmer: Pure Fairy. Both her princess and magical powers would be regarded as Fairy-type in pokemon so this seems straightforward.
Angella: See Glimmer.
Bow: Normal/Steel. He IS the techmaster, but also one of the only characters with no real powers to speak of besides those he makes himself. Between his association with equipment and tech, and his just being a normal guy, Normal/Steel feels right.
Perfuma: Grass/Fairy. Primarily Grass, but her general sweetness and aptitude for flowers gives her a Fairy vibe.
Frosta: Ice/Fighting. Again, primarily Ice, but Frosta wants to THROW DOWN. If you notice she primarily uses her ice to make weapons, appendages, mechas, etc.
Mermista: Pure Water. I considered dual-ing her into Dark but I'm saving that for Horde-aligned characters.
Entrapta: Steel/Poison. I strongly considered Electric instead of Poison, but Entrapta's inclinations are almost purely destructive, and I feel like Steel/Poison best reflects the concept of man-made weaponry, computer viruses, and otherwise destructive tech.
Seahawk: Normal/Water. It's fun to be friends with friends!
Scorpia: Bug/Rock. Bug obviously, 'cause scorpion, but Scorpia is also noteworthy for her extreme durability. Since I'm trying to mostly use Steel to reflect technology, I figured Rock was a good way to express her natural hardiness.
Catra: Pure Dark. What can I say, homegirl's bad to the bone. I considered Normal/Dark but she just isn't "normal" enough in comparison to someone like Bow.
Shadow Weaver: Dark/Fairy. Dark is obvious, but her background and proficiency with magic gives her a Fairy edge.
Hordak: Dark/Steel. Considering his exoskeleton and tendency towards tech, Steel feels like a good complement for an obvious Dark typing.
Double Trouble: Dark/Poison. Again, the poison here is more metaphorical than literal -- DT spreads rage and distrust wherever they go, a fountain of deceit that becomes as contagious as any disease.
Kyle/Lonnie/Rogelio: Normal/Dark. Poor beans just doing their best in a heck'd up world.
