About my characters: Andrea

I wanted to write a short series of blog posts about my main three characters. Markus, Andrea, and Jeanne.  How they’ve developed, and what they’ve become.

Starting off with my own supervillainess: Andrea.

Andrea didn’t start crazy like she was. If you look at what I have (physically chronologically, not in canon chronologically) written, both Markus and Andrea start out with not much character to them outside of horniness and a desire to be other people and do kinky things. I was just getting started (though even back then it was weird as is tradition :P) with writing skinsuit stories and just came up with two characters on the spot.

When I look back at where the divergence (and Andrea’s sociopathic insanity) began usually starts around dickventures, where she bullies Jeremy into replacing her so she can mess with her husband. From there, a significant degree of sociopathy, eternal horniness, and an obsession with Markus came to define her.

It wasn’t a very conscious process, but it happened nevertheless. Andrea makes my life as an author easy. If i want to write something specific suiting or sex wise, I just have Andrea want it and go out of her way to get it. She won’t really change or grow since it isn't’t needed. In many ways, the polar opposite of Jeanne who is very much developing as a character.

Andrea herself is a big fan of dicks, and prefers to walk around as a futa (or a man, depending on the mood) but never really as a woman unless Markus says so. She’s a fun character to write, and I attribute that to why I keep coming back to these characters so much. I can do new stuff every story with a good well established base that works out well.

As for her backstory, well, I’ve been advised by several of my writer friends that trying to make Andrea relatable isn’t a good idea considering the things that she ends up doing to other people for her own amusement. I do have a baseline of an awful youth teaching her to be awful to get any advantage, combined with a life of stealing until Markus was the first person to actually care about her. This resulted in her developing her obsession with Markus.

I wanted to also correct my one mischaracterization of Andrea. In Tako Takover, she takes glee in the suffering of others. Yet, Andrea isn’t a sadist and has never really been. It is not that she cares about people not named Markus (and Jeanne, by proxy), but she does not relish in the suffering of others. She just takes them over, uses them, and then silently leaves no evidence behind when she does. Having people cry or beg is just boring to her, and she moves on. Don’t know why I wrote her that way in that story, and I do need to fix that somewhere down the road.

Thank you for reading, and next up is Markus.
