We publish mini-stories about Midwestern food and agriculture from paid contributors across Middle America.
Part of our mission is providing a platform for diverse heartland perspectives. That goes hand-in-hand with our commitments to quick responses, workshopping ideas with writers when helpful, and paying fairly and promptly. Currently, we are able to offer a flat rate of $200 for 200-400-word newsletter mini-stories, with an additional $50 for acceptable photo. I hope we can increase those rates in the future. We do pay upon acceptance, not publication, via PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle. We are committed to getting money in our writers' pockets as quickly as possible.
