We are looking for intermediate freelance writers and content curators who know how to navigate the web and technical platforms to find and deliver rich, brand building content. This role is responsible for producing written work for our blog mostly in the form of educational & informational cannabis content, with the goal of advancing our editorial calendar and mission.

THIS IS A REMOTE, CONTRACTOR POSITION. As long as deadlines are met, you can work wherever and whenever you like!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create informational/educational content for Nugg’s blog
Serve as an exemplary writer, consistent with our company's tone and mission. You write clean, concise, well-polished copy.
You understand SEO optimization on at least an intermediate level; you’re familiar with optimizing article headers, titles, meta descriptions, images, and overall content for both primary and secondary keywords
You're highly adept at taking a piece of content & re-formatting, re-wording, and adding/subtracting content such that it passes Copyspace and is not seen by search engines as duplicate content
Proofreading and fact checking. 100% accuracy and attention to detail a must.
Take it as your personal mission to make understanding and learning about cannabis easy and exciting.
Set goals for yourself and strive to attain them.
Continuously improve yourself and others around you.
Contribute to the company by providing great ideas and feedback.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

An arsenal of words and phrases written for successful blog posts
3+ years (preferable) of content creation/writing experience
Comfort working in and across numerous platforms on the Web.
Work extremely well collaboratively; take constructive criticism.
Excellent communications skills.
Must demonstrate exemplary organizational skills.
Ability to carry out tasks independently.
Self-starter, highly motivated to succeed under minimal supervision.
Very web-savvy and up-to-date with developing tools and methods.
Strong self-motivation and multitasking required, while managing writers to meet daily deadlines.
Experience with and passion for cannabis is a REQUIREMENT.
