Do you like writing and money? Writing about money?
**Pay is $1k-$1.5K per month**
Seeking a Freelance Writer to regularly contribute articles and video scripts.
The candidate will work ~15 hours a week on a freelance basis crafting money-related stories that will resonate with our engaged audience.
Though opportunities to do original reporting will be plentiful, the focus of the role is a mix of news, hot takes, features, app reviews and recommending money/business content for a millennial / gen-z audience.
- Identify opportunities for original long-form stories and execute accordingly.
- Pitch and write between 2 – 4 blog posts per week
- Develop scripts for our upcoming video series including:
- Tentpole documentary series, Trendline, a show about the decisions and trends that shaped the most successful companies.
- Weekly Social News Show
- Others in development
- Assist with social media content creation (tweets / copy)
Previous experience working with Wordpress, a knowledge of AP Style, and a basic understanding of SEO best practices are desirable.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Interested in money and culture - investing, personal finance, crypto.
- Willing to provide quick turnarounds on topics that are trending
- Must be able to find content and write in a style that appeals to an engaged, smart and curious audience
