The Outlaw Report, a weekly newsletter and online publication, is looking for a D.C.-based journalist interested in reporting on cannabis news and policy in the District in a freelance capacity. Established in February of 2020, The Outlaw Report is the only online publication focused exclusively on cannabis news and policy in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. The ideal candidate for this position is someone with a unique voice who is familiar with cannabis laws/policy and able to work with minimal direction and oversight. At the outset, we are looking for a reporter to contribute two 500 word pieces each month, with compensation set at $75 per piece. As The Outlaw Report expands, the goal would be to transition to a weekly contribution. This reporter may also have the opportunity to contribute to The Outlaw Report podcast, which is released twice a month. We are looking for a candidate to begin as soon as possible.
