Uncanny Magazine (and more specifically the non-fiction wing which is under my direction) is open to your pitches for the next TWO WEEKS.
Creative non-fiction, personal essay, traditional non-fiction about genre fiction, science, and the weird ways in which the world reflects genre = yes please.
Reviews, odes to how much we love dead white racists = no thank you.
Keep your pitches short and pithy, make sure I know your thesis. Tell me why you’re the right person to write this essay.
Essays are capped at around 2,500 words but I’d like to go shorter if we can.
Marginalized voices are prioritized, perspectives we don’t see often are valued. I will help you share your perspective.
