Remote Digital Copywriter wanted for educational nonprofit | $35-$45 per hour

COMPANY/PUBLICATION: ISLAMIC LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE OF AMERICA

The purpose of this role is to get youth to sign up for our educational programs, and for donors to fund these programs; through the following:

• Develop compelling text content, that grabs readers attention
• Integrate text with video and imagery to build a strong brand
• Innovative engagement techniques for youth and adults

THE ROLE OVERSEES AND IS RESPONSIBLE FOR the following areas at ILIA:

• Digital content strategy and development
• Brand messaging and promotion

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for developing email campaigns content to increase readership
• Responsible for developing integrated text, image and video content for web pages
• Responsible for communicating the mission of the organization externally to different stakeholders.
• Responsible for creating integrated content for fundraising campaigns.
• Responsible for creating integrated content for new course launches.
• Responsible for designing and building new templates for various digital channels such as email, social media and website.
• Responsible for building a monthly newsletter for the organization.
• Responsible for training college age youth on basics of digital content creation.
• Responsible for proof reading all collateral.
• Responsible for developing presentation templates and standards for video, text and imagery content.

CANDIDATE NEEDS TO MEET THE FOLLOWING MINIMAL REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possess strong team engagement skills
• Excellent writing (including proper spelling/syntax) and communication skills
• Communicate to team and to public in a professional manner
• Ability to articulate communication needs and turn them into actionable items and execute on these action items
• Can distill marketing challenges and business goals down into focused creative briefs
• Can sell strategic thinking and creative concepts to internal and external stakeholders
