THE ROLE:

We are looking for a talented writer for our cloud security products. As part of the marketing team, you will be responsible for writing content that supports Cisco Umbrella marketing programs, including account-based, digital, channel and field. You will produce a wide range of material to support the promotion of assets such as ebooks, infographics, white papers, as well as copy for emails, landing pages, campaigns, and ads. You will also work closely with the product marketing and design teams to act as the product subject matter expert when reviewing content created by other members of the revenue marketing team for accuracy and alignment with our overall messaging and positioning.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Learn what security means for our business and customers, and discover new and interesting ways to articulate our story
• Produce compelling, relevant promotional content that meets the needs of key stakeholders and our customers/prospects
• Write content to support a rapidly growing business
• Ensure material is technically accurate, creative, and aligned with our messaging and voice guidelines
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product marketing, design, and sales

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years of experience in the IT security space with a background in marketing, technical writing, and/or content creation
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail
• Strong work ethic with a high degree of accuracy and creativity, and follow-through
• A self-starter with an established track record in creating successful marketing content from start to finish
• Strong project management skills and experience working successfully with cross-functional teams, as well as outside agencies
• Superb communicator, able to write and edit clean, sharp creative messaging aligned with our brand voice
• BA/BS degree
