POSITION OVERVIEW:

In this engaging role, the Copywriter champions Papa Murphy’s commitment to quality, service, integrity, and teamwork by working with the marketing team to write fun, on-brand copy that engages our guests and leads to action.

Help support a new Papa Murphy’s brand purpose and identity by crafting effective and compelling copy across touchpoints that ladders up to the brand voice and supports campaign objectives.
Develop transaction-driving copy based on first party channel insights including paid social, print ads, headlines/taglines, email subject lines and suggested text copy.
Drive awareness and trial of Papa Murphy’s new product innovation by writing compelling email and digital copy, product descriptions and product naming that align with brand tone and positioning.
Develop copy bank for the creative team to use for local requests including fundraisers, local promotions and bouncebacks.
Multicultural communications: help reach and appeal to new customers by rethinking how we message the Papa Murphy’s take-and-bake proposition; work with field marketing and translation services to translate assets as needed.
Craft market-specific messaging based on local insights to support Regional Marketing and Local Store Marketing as needed.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

Ability to bring brands to life through exceptional copy
Experience creating copy for website, Digital (Paid, email, etc.), POP, and other formats and channels as needed
Ability to be flexible and adaptable, responding and adhering to changing deadlines and priorities with ease
Resourceful and creative when faced with ambiguity or limited information
Ability to accept cross-functional feedback from stakeholders and gracefully amend and revise
Brings equal enthusiasm for big and small requests
Collaborate with and take creative direction from agency partner
Very high attention to detail

FOUNDATIONS OF YOUR CAREER:

Minimum of 7 years of experience as a copywriter at an agency or brand
Food experience required
An impressive portfolio of brand-building work (examples required) across multiple channels as well as B2C and B2B
