We are looking to onboard a freelance content manager/data journalist for an established website that covers various aspects of the US federal government.

As a data journalist/content manager, you will be responsible for the production of feature pieces for the publication.
Featured pieces are primarily data-driven. ( e.g Top X Highest paid jobs in Federal government that......., The future of data-driven jobs in Federal workforce, etc.)
Ability to craft a persuasive story based on generated insights from the data is critical to this role.
The ability to research emerging developments in the niche and apply analysis to existing data OR collect new data in order to develop a narrative is a must-have skill for this role.
Two to three years of writing experience as a content strategist/data journalist
Basic data querying skills and experience with Visual storytelling tools are definitely a plus.

This role will develop into a larger role down the road where you will be in charge of developing the content strategy and building out a content team for the publication.
