I'm creating an affiliate-revenue-based finance and shopping site with a new model for writers: I pay you and you also keep the first few weeks of affiliate revenue.
Details should be explained in the above link, but the high points: We're building a new type of personal finance and shopping app. We're about to launch a beta but have lots more to do. Rather than stuffing my marketing budget into FB or Google, I want to pay writers.
Writers get a better deal because they get a cut of affiliate revenue. We start to build an audience for our content and our app. And what we make in long-tail (lol) affiliate I use to commission more content. (And probably buy some ads to promote content at first.)

Rates: $50-$300 per to start, depending on both length of piece and/or amount of research + reporting involved. A single little "This thing is cool" post would be less than a thorough guide or essay, but one could pitch multiple. Will revisit rates after we have some numbers.
