About once a year, we put out a call for freelance writers who want to work with a small team of rock star reporters to cover Tennessee politics and policy. Interested? Send an email and clips.
Since it's all freelance, the time commitment is flexible. Rates run around $175 for dailies, $300-400 for enterprise, $1,000-$1,200 for long form. Writers don't have to be in Tennessee (preferable) but they do need knowledge or willingness to write about state policy.
