PAY RATE / BENEFITS OVERVIEW
- Hourly $45-49 W2 rate and benefits made available to you

SCOPE OF POSITION
- Will be joining the Member Correspondence and Regulatory Communications Team, which is responsible for member communications pertaining to the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Medicare Advantage, and general operational member communications focused on enrollment and billing, provider relations, and error/crisis communications.
- The team is looking for a writer, editor, and proofreader that can edit existing correspondence and create new regulatory / mandatory communications, which will be socialized to members. The communications are often contractual based, so accuracy of language is key.
- This person will sit on stakeholder calls and lead the communications that need to be drafted and disseminated to members. They will be working in tandem with the Lead Communications Writer and should coexist with this individual’s tone and language.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage content updates and new content creation for operational communications.
- Draft all letter content, including urgent requests from business partners.
- Act as consultants to project stakeholders and offer options for all potential contingencies.
- Ensure consistency in tone, style, and setup of letters and related communications.
- Review operational letters annually (expiring letters process) for accuracy, links/phone numbers, signature verification, etc.
- Serve as “business director” approver in CDW system.
- Serve as non-SME editorial resource for Medicare Advantage (MA) Evidence of Coverage (EOC) and Annual Notice of Changes (ANOC).
- Serve as proofreader and editor for MA documents in various stages of project cycle.
- Work with business partners on developing and changing content for MA-related operational letters.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Work Authorization – US Citizen, Green Card, L2 EAD, H4 EAD, or GC-EAD
- Portfolio – Candidates must submit a professional portfolio at the time of submission
- Bachelor’s Degree and strong background in writing, editing, and proofreading.
- Experience writing correspondence that is to be sent to organizational customers / members.
- Experience writing / editing communications that are regulatory, compliance, or mandates related.
- Ability to manage multiple projects on time with an emphasis on accuracy.
- Ability to write letters and notices with great respect and dignity toward members with the right tone and approach.
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience drafting correspondence in the government sector or healthcare / insurance industry.
- Experience drafting correspondence relating to ACA or Medicare Advantage.
