Our politics section is looking for holiday pitches—stories and opeds on:
- Rest under capitalism—time off (or lack thereof)
- The supply chain "crisis"
- Faith and justice
- Labor
- Untold histories
- You tell me!
Rates range from $250 for opeds without reporting to up to $400 for reported pieces. Free to email me with questions and if you're not sure if the pitch works, don't stress too much, just ask me.
I'll aim to respond by 11/23 (hopefully). Some questions to keep in mind:
- What makes this a fit for our readers?
- Have we run anything similar to your idea before?
- Is this a politics story?
Often, the answer is yes. But sometimes.. no.
