ContentGrow is looking for US-based freelance editors with one to two years of experience in curating and prioritizing daily news. Editors will need to be able to look at an aggregation of the latest top stories from a variety of fields (includes but is not limited to breaking news, politics, sports, technology, and more), hand-pick 20 of the most important headlines to showcase for the day, and write a short summary of each with an appropriate headline (~75 words per story).
Chosen editors will work two to three shifts per week, with the following details:
- 8 hours per shift
- Shift schedules: 06.30 - 14.30 EST and 14.30 - 22.30 EST, Monday to Sunday
- For each shift, the freelance editor will handpick and summarize 20 stories (~75 words a piece)
- Remuneration for each shift is US$186
- Able to commit for at least one month
As a shift-based freelancer, you’ll work closely with the editorial team inside a Slack channel. You’ll be expected to respond to the team in real-time and be communicative during each shift.
Journalists who are able to demonstrate a track record in reporting daily news will be prioritized. Ideally, applicants should also demonstrate discerning editorial taste when it comes to reporting data-driven and unbiased news.
