Remote Senior Writer wanted (wellness) | $75-$125 per hour

We are looking for a dynamic and passionate writer and editor who will help shape and manage the brand’s content strategy and voice across our app, website, video, SMS, and social media platforms. You will work closely with our female founder to build content that aligns with the mission of our company — to help women develop a more empowered, intentional and effective approach to dating & relationships. You will manage all current and future content for the brand whether you are assigning it out to one of your freelance writers or crafting it yourself. This is a highly creative and highly collaborative position where you will have a direct impact on the success of the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Writing content across platforms (in-app, UE/UX, and other user/reader-facing copy such as quizzes, email newsletters, SMS messages, video/scripts, About Us pages, etc.)
• Assigning and editing freelance and/or in house content creators as needed for relevant projects.
• Working closely with the Founder to ensure every piece of content fulfills the mission of the company.
• Deliver high-quality, engaging, voicey service content that meets deadlines and is aligned with the brand voice.

REQUIREMENTS

• You must have 5+ years experience writing content for women, ideally in a consumer-facing publication or website.
• You’re experienced in (or passionate about) writing dating and relationships advice and very comfortable with concepts like attachment theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, and neuroplasticity.
• You have experience writing, assigning and/or editing service-driven copy that is research- and fact-based yet also fun and engaging.
• You love all things self help/self care/wellness/women’s empowerment and are on top of popular trends, books, products in these spaces.
• You can channel multiple voices in your writing to connect with different segments among our users including Gen Z, Y, and X and women of diverse economic, geographical, and racial backgrounds and interests.
• You are a witty, clever, and at times irreverent writer who can make anything fun to read.
• You are flexible, collaborative, deadline-driven, and thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing and evolving environment.

This is a contract position ($75-125/hr depending on experience) with the option to turn into full time with benefits.
