We are looking for freelancers to cover the threat posed by Islamism (and the efforts to counter it) in Western democracies.
Our mission is to cover stories that other outlets will not cover, provide a template for coverage for other journalists to follow when they start to address the issue, and become a hub for counter-Islamist research and analysis.
We seek well-documented, data-driven, and clearly written news stories and research pieces about the following topics:
- Efforts to promote Islamism in public institutions.
- Taxpayer funding or government partnership with Islamist groups.
- Analysis of Western Islamist comment and debate on world affairs.
- Exposés of radical mosques and other Islamist institutions.
- Efforts to enforce Islamic law on non-Muslims.
- Islamist exploitation and infiltration of Western politics.
- Alliances between Islamists and other political movements.
- Disagreements and rivalries between Islamist individuals and groups.
- Analysis of the prospects for Muslim reformists.
- Analysis of extant media coverage of Islamism.
- Analysis of Western governments’ counter-Islamist and anti-radicalization policies.
- The use of the charge of “Islamophobia” to silence legitimate criticism of Islamism.
- Instances of foreign governments promoting Islamism in Western democracies.
