Linton Johnson, Founder of Ovis News, is looking for writers:
We are looking for writers and editors to participate in testing our platform! Your articles will be featured by our partner, Rise Independent, and you will get a unique opportunity to be part of the revolution!
Articles are less than 500 words. Here's the rates:
- Journalists - $100 per story
- Fact Checkers - $25 each per story
- Editor(s) - $25 per story
We are a bootstrapped startup, so these rates may not reflect market ones. But we promise to make the experience worthwhile.

We would ideally want to recruit everyone by the end of the month, but we are a bit flexible with deadlines! We are happy to wait for the right candidates.
APPLICATION CHECKLIST: Unless otherwise stated, include (1) a cover letter explaining how you meet the requirements or why you are the right fit for the job; (2) a one-paragraph summary of your relevant experience, credentials and publication credits; (3) your strongest clips or links to published work; and (4) a resume detailing your writing experience.
