Showwcase is hiring Rotational Super Writers! We’re facing a global recession and it’s been a really bad layoff season. We’re trying to help more developers earn a living through technical writing so we launched the RSW program! Every two weeks we’re bringing in talented writers to come contribute knowledge and ideas to the community. You also get to work directly with our team at Showwcase.

As you evaluate us, I hope you give me the opportunity to pitch to you why I care about this, and why I believe joining us could be an incredible journey in building a completely new way for developers to network, but also for the world to access, transact, and connect with developers.

SHOWWCASE

Showwcase is a professional network built and optimized for people that code (developers) to connect, build community, and find new opportunities.

The world is in the midst of an accelerated transition towards a digital-first future where every company is becoming a tech company. The resulting outcome is that the demand for developers is now at its highest ever and the number of people learning programming skills is accelerating rapidly. In fact, Microsoft estimates the number of coders to be at 200 million by 2025 - 4X what it is today!

Despite that, the representation of developers, how we interact, and find new opportunities is completely fragmented. Existing networks are not meeting the needs of people who can code. Generalized networks that cater to all professional categories cannot optimize their features and workflows around a specific niche like Coders.

We're moving extremely fast, but we’re still tiny relative to the opportunity ahead, so there is still much to do. Join us and help grow Showwcase into the largest network for coders in the world. We will change the way the coders interact, connect and transact with each other and the world.

ROTATIONAL TECH WRITER

We are hiring technical writers! As a rotational writer at Showwcase, you'll be responsible for writing high-quality, SEO-optimized, trending technical articles. You will be working with a talented team of content creators and learning essential skills needed to work in a face-paced technical writing environment.

This is two weeks of a paid program where you must write 5 articles a week, totaling 10 articles in the program duration.

YOU WILL

• Write SEO-optimized articles.
• Write five high-quality, engaging articles every week.
• Write articles on trending technology topics.
• Once ready, post the draft link to the Showwcase discord channel for the content team to review.
• Take care of all the review feedback and get a GO from the Showwcase content team before publishing your work.
• Share the articles on social media platforms like Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.

YOU HAVE

• You must have a complete Showwcase profile to apply for this role.
• You must have written a few articles in the past.
• Each article must be an original piece of work.
• The article should be the length of at least 600 words.
• Great attention to detail.
• Ability to understand and write about highly technical topics for both general and technical audiences.
• Excellent writing and communication skills in English.

CLARIFICATIONS

• This is a paid position.
• The position is part-time. 2 hours a day for 2 weeks.
• Your payment will be made via TransferWise or any alternative payment system at the end of two weeks.
• You will need to sign a Non-disclosure and Contract Agreement with the parent company Showcase Creators Inc.
