Pitches wanted (parenting) (worldwide) | $150 per article
Added 2023-04-26 15:55:41 +0000 UTCCOMPANY/PUBLICATION: DAD FIXES EVERYTHING
Deadline: 21 May 2023
I am looking for parenting writers (ideally, real parents/primary caregivers! Dads encouraged!) who can pitch ideas for articles for my parenting, dad-focused blog. Very sorry if you pitched me before and your email bounced back. All fixed now! Here are some types of blog posts I'm interested in:
- Op-eds, opinions on relevant parenting issues. (Example: The right age to get a child's ears pierced)
- Fun lists (Example: The 12 worst pieces of parenting advice we all hear)
- Stories with a message/lesson. First person accounts that don't shy away from how hard/ugly parenting can be, ideally exploring some universal themes or takeaways. (Example: What I learned from going cold turkey on screen time)
- Non urgent and non-breaking news. If something interested and relevant to parents has happened recently that's still relevant and worth discussing, I would love a write up!
Diverse writers, voices, and ideas encouraged. Really looking for writers with published clips in the parenting space, but anyone with a great pitch is welcome. International writers welcome. $150 per 1000 words. Send a pitch to evan@dadfixeseverything.com and if possible, include a handful of links of published works. If you don't have those, just tell me why you're excited to tell the story or explore the idea you're pitching. Use "Pitch for Dad Fixes Everything" in the subject line.
