John Doran, Co-Founder and Editor of The Quietus, is looking for pitches:

I am looking for writers to pitch me Reissue Of The Week essays on Codeine and/or Liars (Sisterworld or all LPs up to Sisterworld). I need a strong, original angle to commission either, plus cuts if we haven't worked with you yet.

Deadlines: So with Liars, it's incredibly soon. I'd need to see a pitch this week and need the copy back Wednesday next week. With codeine any time in the next few weeks is good. They're opinion-led long reviews, approximately 1,400 words, £100, paid within 1 month of publication.

Happy to read all pitches. We pay (modestly) for everything published. £200 quid for op ed. Essays £200-£300. Interviews £100-£250. Email John at the quietus dot com
