This is the first in a new series of re-evaluations we are doing. Starting it off with Samuel Clowes Huneke on Imagined Communities: https://newrepublic.com/article/179786/reading-imagined-communities-amid-resurgence-nationalism
This series is going to run for a while and is open to pitches!
The idea is to revisit works that still continue to shape the way we think and talk about their subject (can be politics, society, literature, almost anything) though this will naturally include quite a bit of classic scholarship.
