I’m hiring a memoir developmental editor for a client’s project. This is a one-time job, and we’re looking to work with experienced editors who can bring depth and structure to the memoir. The fixed rate is between $5,000-$9,000, depending on experience.
REQUIREMENTS:
Proven experience as a developmental editor, particularly in memoir or narrative non-fiction.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Proofread and edit memoir manuscripts for grammar, punctuation, and consistency.
Communicate effectively with authors to ensure their vision is maintained throughout the editing process.
Fact-check information and ensure accuracy in content.
Utilize AP style and Chicago Manual of Style for editing purposes.
Conduct research to enhance the quality and depth of memoirs.
Collaborate with writers on copywriting and proposal writing for memoir projects.
