Nolo, the oldest and foremost publisher of legal self-help books, software, and consumer-friendly websites, is currently seeking informative feature writers to contribute online content. The articles will appear on our family of leading websites, which include DivorceNet.com and DisabilitySecrets.com.
This is a 100% freelance, remote position. Assignments, writing, editing, and submissions are all handled through our online system or through email with the Content Manager.
All you need is a computer, Internet access, and the ability to deliver clean, informative, and concise copy based on credible research and expert interviews on topics like:
The 5 Emotional Stages of Divorce
Can I Get a DUI on a Bicycle?
6 Tips for Talking About Your Disability
Content includes articles (350-1200 words), FAQs, checklists, and listicles.
REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
2+ years of professional writing/journalism experience.
Knowledge of SEO best practices and how to incorporate them into content.
Strong interviewer, research, and fact-checking skills.
Ability to quickly adapt to in-house style guidelines and meet editorial deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, English or related field strongly preferred.
Experience using content management systems is a plus.
Compensation: $75 to $125 per submission depending on content type.
