The ideal candidate should be grounded in ethical journalism. We prefer writers that have subject matter expertise. Clarity and brevity are essential. Unedited writing samples are required.

You will work remotely with a health editor.

SKILLS

• Ability to produce clear and concise copy on deadline 

• Excellent command of the English language 

• Sophisticated skills in reporting, including, but not limited to, verifying information, research, conducting interviews, etc. 

• Ability to provide necessary context to findings

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree or 

• 2 years of combined experience in news reporting or health-related reporting 

• Knowledge and interest in a wide range of health-related topics, trends and methods 

• Knowledge of how to interpret and report on scientific studies

PAY RANGE 

$200-$500 per article. The quoted pay range per article represents our good faith estimate as to what our candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range according to the selected candidate’s experience, location, technical skills, and other factors.
