PATREON EXCLUSIVE - Should You Talk About Politics With Women?

Comments

I don’t know. I couldn’t get on with a woman without an opinion on political issues, as it indicates a lack of values and application of them. Then again I wouldn’t be interested by a particularly outspoken activist type even if she aligned with my values. I’ve found a fairly politically inclined girl who aligns with me quite a lot, but what’s interesting is she’s careful not to argue with people. In this way she maintains her femininity as she prioritises her relationships and group cohesion.

I have seen about 15 videos on patreon so far and this video is the first one I don't aggre with at all. I love to talk about politics and ideas how we would solve some societal issues with my husband. I can't even imagine to be married to someone who isn't interested in his countries issues and who doesn't have roughly the same political views as me because I think it is a part of one's basic values. I also love every topic which you mentioned you shouldn't discuss with your woman, especially video games. :D I can't imagine how marriages operate where they don't have similar interests! One of the reasons why I'm so attracted to my husband and why I enjoy SO MUCH spending time with him is because it is so interesting to talk with him that even a simple food buying shopping is so interesting and fun. Of course there are topics in which we don't go into details because the other one is not as interested as we are. For example I don't go into details regarding computer programming, I just tell it broadly and he doesn't go into details regarding vide game genres I don't like (MOBAs).

There has to be a balance. If she's clueless about social values (politics) then she's the sort of social media Bimbo that has no idea about life. Unattractive. If she's too much into politics then she's most probably a political activist (usually, on the left, like a feminist, socialist, marxist). Unattractive.

The way i see it as is that they are only like this because it is popular. Most girls don't have opinions, they go along to get along. Like what Alexander said in one of his previous videos, their conversations are less about assertion and being heard and more about agreement and feelings. Overall dude, it's not women's fault for being radical leftists, it's our fault for allowing Communists and the foreign elite that is very over-represented in Americas media, finances, and government to get away with it. You want Imperium? Hit the streets and get organized with the boys. Talk less, act more.

I ignore politics (except local, or state maybe) because politics on the whole are out of my control, and therefore a waste of my time and energy. My women, on tIhe other hand can't get enough of that garbage (but not while I'm around).

I liked the bit boldly saying "don't look for these qualities in women -- look for those in men." It got me thinking about my life. Thanks.

Yep, this rings true to me. Especially the part at the end - we could be can fussing less over politics in general.

Norwegen i am dating a mexican women. and she is probably way smarter than me. she loves talking about politics. our conversation got really heated as i brought in the hypocrisy of the war on drugs. and that we will see a way harder war on terrorism that will never end.

First video I have disagreed with. This video was created as if the past year (or thirty years) of western civilization did not happen. I can understand the concept that its not socially constructive to divide, and that saying it is positive to socially divide on a forum like this can be anti social and non constructive. But if that is the purpose of not divulging into the fact that most western females have become radical leftists, then that topic should be presented within the subject matter of the discussion (instead of ignored all together).

Hey Poul! Devin said it right! You misunderstood what Alexander said!

"ya wanna date a man with tits??"

Poul, he did mention that. The social issues of politics are what women talk about

I think you're a bit too involved in your own taste on this one. The part of politics you can talk to her about if she's interested in the subject, is values - not the cold statistical or practical part - even if she's deeply into politics, she's most likely not into that. You can both find out to what extent each other believe in things like collectivism and indivudualism, and you learn a lot by that. If you're watching the news together and you're too involved to just shut up, perhaps just speak loudly to yourself without seeking a discussion. Remember that women are social information-seekers.

This comes off a little like you associate femininity with stupidity or intentional naïveté/ignorance - although I know that’s not the case. I agree that I never had a huge interest in history or politics and prefer not to talk about them ad nauseam but I am intelligent enough to know both are important to understand- and lack of knowledge/understanding can leave you open to being taken off guard. This feels even more true in the state of our world today. Additionally, I would never be able to place my trust in my husband without understanding him and his views of the world and our future - and discussions around politics were part of that learning and relationship development process. Also, the art of communication is a very helpful skill to have - and being able to hold conversations about a wide variety of topics, inclusive of history and politics - is valuable- even if a woman’s primary roles are wife and mother.
