2020-07-03 04:35:46 +0000 UTCYeah, Michael might not want to lose Jim (or Pam) so that's MAYBE why he hasn't put Jim up for a branch manager job, but it's kinda messed up that anytime he remotely thinks his position is in jeopardy he's willing to throw his supposed friends under the bus. He did it with Dwight with the Willy Wonka Golden Ticket episode, and here, he thought Jim was conspiring against him (when Jim has never done anything to Michael even when Michael deserves it) so he trashed Jim to David. Of course, he regretted that ONLY after he learned that Jim had actually suggested a promotion for Michael. I was glad he didn't end up with a promotion--he didn't deserve it! Lol ... sorry for the rant. By the end of the series I ended up loving Michael (flaws and all), but I don't always like him.
