Cohen's Fate Progress Update
Added 2023-12-07 16:00:07 +0000 UTCCohen's Fate continues to be by far the largest and most ambitious world I've made so far. But progress is still going forward! I'm starting to finish up each area one by one. The RPG system is now functionally complete along with a full single encounter. Now that one encounter is fully done, the rest should take significantly less time to finish. However, even with all the progress I'm making, I don't believe I'll be able to complete the world by the end of this year. I keep discovering things to add and improve to give the RPG aspect more life rather than a tacked on system. One of these aspects is the MUSIC!
This track (Tentatively called "The Thief") has been a thorn in my side for the past few MONTHS. But I finally had a breakthrough this week! This track is definitely the strangest composition I've made so far. The challenge was to compose something that has energy and accurately depicts the enemy personality within the encounter. I ran into dead ends multiple times trying to craft something jazzy and strange. But then I discovered the power of 7 Tenor Saxophones!
Now I've put pressure on myself to ensure that the encounter itself lives up to this music...
