Agreed about Yaz. This is one of the reasons why I wish it was just her and 13 together so we could actually see a relationship or dynamic develop. The first episode looked promising for her because it seemed like she adapted to the Tardis controls and the way The Doctor operates things. She also started to question her more despite 13 still refusing to open up to her. But we went back to square one with Yaz being sidelined in episode 2 and overshadowed by Dan. And now she's been overshadowed again by Vinder in this episode. It seemed like her flashback wasn't even important given that it wasn't real unlike Dan and Vinder's perspectives. Closest we ever got to learning more of Yaz herself was in Can You Hear Me. I've given up on her too. She's shaping up to be one of the longest running companions yet she hardly gets much of a chance to shine which is a real pity. Given that The Doctor snapped at her more than once, it seems like that could possibly be the pushing point for her. But I'm really disappointed that Yaz once again isn't getting anything worth of substance. :/

Also, at this point, I've just given up on Yaz getting any real character development. Chibnall just seems to want to cram a whole bunch of other characters in his story instead of actually letting us get to know the main ones. I mean, it's weird how we always have guest characters that we end up knowing more about than most of the ACTUAL companions (with the exception of Graham and now Dan). I guess it's because Chibnall comes from a more 'ensemble' story-telling background, but even in some of his other shows (such as 'Broadchurch' or even 'Law and Order: UK'), I feel like I got to know most of those characters pretty well on the whole. But Yaz in Doctor Who? She's like an after-thought. Even her flashback with her sister or with the other cop didn't give us any real background story about her -- one was more about her sister trying to be a fake geek girl 🤢 and the other was just some random cop we've never seen bitching about bad costumer service. 🤷‍♀

P.S. Oh and Swarm looks different in the 'flashback' on Atropos, because he looks like he did when we first see him imprisoned in the opening episode. It's there that he kills the two Division guards (the one woman who's retiring and the new younger woman) and seems to 'regenerate' (from absorbing their essence?) into the version of him we see in the present.

Definitely not my fave episode. In fact, I was also rewatching it with my poor wife last night and like many people I'd seen talking about on Twitter, she found it poorly written and too hard to follow. Personally, I could follow it myself (like I always know it's the Division on screen, because I remember what their guns look like from back in 'Prisoner of the Judoon'), but I did agree that it was reaaaaally badly written -- so much really bad dialogue, so much telling and not showing, so much exposition. Yeah...just not the sort of Doctor Who I personally like. 🤷‍♀ P.S. There's a fan theory floating around that Bel and Vinder are the parents of the Timeless Child (the Doctor). I'm reaaally hoping that's not the case. 🤢
